Janet E. Ford, DVM, & Trixie

Dr. Ford received her BS in Biomedical Science in 1985 from Texas A&M University and her DVM in 1989 from the University of Tennessee.  A Connecticut native, she has owned her own veterinary practice since 1992 and has served the Colchester area since 1999.

Areas of interest include internal medicine, emergency medicine, pain management, and geriatrics.

Dr. Ford has one dog, Trixie, who she trained on a wireless dog fence.  Her hobbies include reading, hiking, ice skating, stenciling, and walking marathons to raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.  She is currently writing her second novel.


Karen Ford - Receptionist

Karen has been with Paw Prints Animal Hospital since we opened in 2002.  Prior to this, she spent the majority of her working career in the theater at the Goodspeed Opera House, Burt Reynolds Dinner Theater, and Lake George, creating scenery and building or buying the necessary props for each show.  An avid gardener and baker, she also enjoys crafts and sewing.  She has two cats, Rudy and Stanley.

Carrie McNaughton - Veterinary Assistant, & Gracie

Carrie has been working at Paw Prints Animal Hospital since we opened in 2002.  She has six years experience as a veterinary assistant.  She has three dogs and three cats.

Kristen Glanert - Receptionist

Kristen recently joined our staff.  Prior to this, she worked at John Gagnon's Dog House, and  served as a volunteer at the Mystic Aquarium.  She has an interest in business and management.  Kristen has one dog, Marty.
