CHANGES ARE COMING TO PAW PRINTS ANIMAL
As many of you have noticed, Dr.
Ford's availability has decreased recently. We appreciate
your patience during this time of transition. In order to
gain more hands-on experience with emergencies and critically ill
patients, Dr. Ford is now spending three nights a week at the
Connecticut Veterinary Center in West Hartford, serving as the
overnight emergency doctor at the 24-hour referral hospital.
The sheer volume and variety of
cases seen daily provides endless learning opportunites while
also advancing her skills in transfusion medicine, monitoring
critical diabetics, and stabilizing trauma patients. On staff
at CVC are a board certified radiologist, an internist, a surgeon,
as well as internship-trained staff veterinarians.
What does this mean for Paw
Prints? Our goal is to provide quality care to our patients
with the latest medical and surgical techniques. Shortly we
will be expanding our hours to 7 days a week, with the ultimate
goal of being available to our clients on a 24/7 basis.
Along those lines you may notice
some new faces around the hospital. Faith is our newest
technician who comes to us with ICU nursing experience in the
veterinary field, as well as Janet, our new assistant. Carrie
has taken a leave of absence but will be returning shortly as
We apologize for any
inconvenience our current limited schedule causes. The end
result will be a new and improved Paw Prints Animal Hospital,
equipped and staffed to meet your pets' medical needs.
